Welcome to The University Group’s Utility Information section! We’re here to provide you with everything you need to know about paying for utilities while living in our properties. Here are the options available to you:
Option 1: Sign Up and Pay Utilities on Your Own
You have the option to sign up and pay for your utilities on your own.
You’ll be responsible for setting up and paying your power and water bills directly to Ameren Illinois Power and Illinois American Water.
This option is ideal for those who prefer to manage their own utility bills.
Option 2: Enroll in our Utility Package Program
Our Utility Package Program allows you to keep power and water in The University Group’s name.
Each month, we will add the utility cost to your ledger with a 15% administration fee. For instance, if your power bill is $200, we will charge $230 to your account.
Same conditions apply to your water bill.
This means you don’t have to worry about setting up and separately paying your power and water bills.
If your lease begins in August, you must sign the utility addendum by July 15.

Manage Your Own Utilities
For residents choosing not to take advantage of the convenience of our Utility Package Program, you will need to arrange for your utilities to be set up prior to moving in. Please call the utility companies at least two weeks prior to move-in because they are very busy in July and August.
